Candice Elison, MA, LPC, NCC is a Senior Clinical Trainer with Optum Idaho. In her current role, Candice is focused on developing innovative, quality and culturally responsive education for behavioral health care network providers to ensure the best care for all members as well as supporting community partners and advocacy groups to address health care disparities and access to health care. Candice is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) and specialized in evidenced based trauma focused therapies in her clinical practice. Candice has several years of experience training graduate level counselors through counselor education, research, and clinical supervision. Her focus areas of interest and research include multicultural competency, LGBTQ awareness and culturally responsive care, group therapy, grief and loss, and working with severe and persistent mental disorders.
