Understanding the Changing Landscape of Coordinated Care in Idaho

October 5, 2017    11:15  -  12:00

The landscape of healthcare is ever changing with terms like managed care, value based care, and care coordination. Although it’s complex, we believe healthcare shouldn’t be confusing to the Idahoans we serve. Dr. Rhonda Robinson Beale will provide an overview to explain how we’re working together with the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, and others, to provide long term services and supports (LTSS) for Idahoans on both Medicaid and Medicare (dual eligible). Attendees will learn the benefits, including health-related outcomes, of the Medicare-Medicaid Coordinated Plan (MMCP). Key takeaways include:

  • Understanding coordinated care for dual eligible participants
  • How changes impact members in rural areas
  • The impact MMCP can have on members and providers: program successes, improved access to care, and member engagement
  • Operational and benefit changes to LTSS services for dual eligibles in 2018
  • Next steps for individuals and providers
