About the Conference
The Idaho Partnerships Conference on Human Services is the largest regional conference in Idaho focusing on providing quality disability and mental health training to human service professionals, teachers, counselors, parents, self advocates and community members who serve and support people with disabilities and mental illness. We bring together over 700 attendees each year.
Keynote SpeakerGeri Jewell
Geri Jewell is best known as Cousin Geri on the NBC sitcom, The Facts of Life. She was the first person with a disability to have a regular role on a prime time series. She began her career doing standup comedy at the Comedy Store in 1978. In 1980 she performed at the 2nd Annual Media Access Awards, where she was introduced to Norman Lear by producer, Fern Field.SEE ALL SPEAKERS
Keynote SpeakerRachel Simon
Rachel Simon is the award-winning author of six books and a nationally-recognized public speaker on issues related to diversity and disability. Her titles include the bestsellers The Story of Beautiful Girl and Riding The Bus With My Sister. Both books are frequent selections of book clubs and school reading programs around the country. Rachel's work has been adapted for theater, NPR, the Lifetime Channel, and Hallmark Hall of Fame, whose adaptation of Riding The Bus With My Sister starred Rosie O' Donnell and Andie McDowell, and was directed by Anjelica Huston.SEE ALL SPEAKERS

This year's conference will focus on bringing the most innovative, cutting edge techniques and information in the disability services field to our attendees. Speaker presentations will offer new ideas, insights and strategies to inspire and challenge our audience. Our sessions are designed to empower attendees to put into practice what they learn, interact with each other and find inspiration. Thursday and Friday, October 5 and October 6, 2017. Continental breakfast and lunch included. Regular registration deadline is September 1, 2017. Late registration fee is $200.
